The house is so beautiful and beautifully situated! The house is very well appointed and beds and sofas are incredibly comfortable. The kitchen is beautiful and fully equipped. Leslie was easy and quick to communicate with and the house was spotless. I cannot recommend it highly enough, was a wonderful place to unwind for a few days.
We stayed at Leslie and Ben's for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was a wonderful kitchen in which to cook. The house is extremely clean, comfortable, in a beautiful location and easy to find. The hosts were very communicative. It was a quiet and peaceful place to unplug. I'm sure it is just as delightful in the summer when one could sit by the river. We were able to explore the river, as we had private access, relax in the hot tub, and cook delicious meals in their beautiful kitchen.

This is a great private house. A full kitchen was available. Despite the crazy heat the space was cool and pleasant. The host Ken went out of his way to accommodate my rather loose timing and to make sure that I was able to get into the space. I will gladly stay here again next time I'm in the area. Great place to stay, quick walk to downtown Brattleboro. The downstairs apartment is really spacious. The shower stall is also great for anyone that might have a hard time getting in and out of a bathtub.

Lots of updates in kitchen and laundry. It is a large space that is stylish and clean. The location is perfect. Pretty neighborhood right near downtown. Kenneth was an excellent host and responded immediately to any questions I had. I will definitely stay here again. We stayed here for a month when we moved to the area. It was a very peaceful and serene place to stay while getting things arranged with our new jobs. The host was attentive to our needs and very helpful.

We can not say enough great things about the Chalet! The location could not be more beautiful and picturesque. Check-in was a breeze and the chalet was chocked full of amazing touches, there is so much character! Anything we needed was available, and Mary was easy to contact if we needed anything extra.
We highly recommend the chalet and will be back ourselves! This is a lovely farm and an incredible value for the price! The hot tub was really great and easy to find even though we arrived and set up our campsite in the dark. They provided some firewood and we cooked salmon and corn and had a wonderful night. A great place in a great location. This was my second stay at Orchard View. When I arrived this year I was expecting to see a few signs of wear and tear, but there was none. The place was spotless with lots of wonderful little touches such as organic teas and coffee and environmentally responsible products in use throughout the apartment.

It's charming, impeccably clean, and well-appointed. My kids loved the bubble bath and snacks and we appreciated the comfy linens and towels. Of course, the setting is not to be beat. Beautiful views from the top of a snow-covered hill in a remote spot make this a perfect getaway. I hope to return when the apple trees are in bloom. We stayed in the second floor space we never saw the first floor. Very spacious - two large rooms, one with a handy coffee maker which we needed in the mornings also teas and cocoa mix.
Bottled water to use with the coffee machine nice touch. Also a microwave and small refrigerator. The heat was easily controlled by a thermostat we visited in winter. Bathroom is large with lots of towels and plenty of hot water, no waiting. The house is close to Western Ave. Walking downtown takes about minutes, coming back a bit longer uphill - Brattleboro isn't flat.

We had 4 adults, 1 child and a baby with plenty of space. Ken was very responsive; good communication before and during the stay. We had a separate entrance and the entire 2nd floor to ourselves. Key was in a lockbox which made check in very simple as we were unsure of our arrival time. Raphael's place is a perfect spot to hang your hat when visiting southern Vermont. Nestled in a cozy renovated barn, close to outdoor activities and one of the most beautiful ponds just around the corner.

I was in town for a dog camp and had my two dogs with me - Raphael was incredibly accommodating for both myself and my dogs. It was the perfect retreat after a fun day at dog camp. My fiance and I rented this cabin to get out of Boston and celebrate our recent engagement. The cabin was perfect for our getaway -- close enough to Boston but secluded and beautiful. The cabin has all the basics and is very comfortable. Raphael was a fantastic host -- very communicative and even presented us with a bottle of wine upon our departure!

The sunlight in the house is amazing. We had a great hike right out of the house and look forward to returning again in the winter for some nortic skiing. And Deborah is the best host ever--extremely helpful and thoughtful, making us feel so welcome and very much at home. We had a wonderful time with her, and feel that we've found a new friend. Debbie's house was the perfect retreat for a long weekend with our friend group in Vermont. The house itself was beautiful, with enough bedrooms for the 8 of us, a fantastic kitchen and dining room, and a bunch of social spaces for relaxing, making music, and playing games by the fire. We were able to come off the slopes into a perfect, warm cottage, and spend the evening playing board games and listening to music. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. My husband and I had a great stay. I was unexpectedly on crutches during our visit and while hoping around presented a challenge from time to time I for one was greatfull for the compact space.
We built a fire from the ample wood supply the second night and made some dinner which brought the welcomed addition of the neighbor's dogs into the mix so smart and sweet. We are located on the West River and have our own sandy beach with one of the deepest swimming holes on the West River.
